Cher –
As a fan of science fiction and graphic novels, I recently picked up a copy of 2000AD Prog 15, which features the iconic character Judge Dredd. This issue was originally published on 4 June 1977, and it’s fascinating to see how the character and the world he inhabits have evolved since then.
First of all, the artwork in this issue is fantastic. The black and white illustrations are bold and dynamic, and the attention to detail is impressive. The panel layouts are also well-done, with plenty of variation to keep the eye engaged.
As for the story, this issue features three separate Dredd adventures, each with its own unique twist. In the first story, “The Big Sleep,” Dredd investigates a series of murders in a sleep-inducing factory. The concept is interesting, and the plot unfolds in a satisfying way. The second story, “Monkey Business,” sees Dredd team up with a group of intelligent apes to take down a criminal mastermind. This story is a lot of fun, with plenty of action and humor. Finally, in “The Black Plague,” Dredd faces off against a deadly virus that threatens to wipe out the entire population of Mega-City One. This story is tense and suspenseful, and it’s interesting to see how Dredd uses his knowledge of the city to track down the source of the virus.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed reading 2000AD Prog 15. It’s clear that the creators put a lot of thought and care into crafting these stories and bringing the world of Judge Dredd to life. If you’re a fan of sci-fi or graphic novels, I highly recommend giving this issue a read.
